Would I Recommend Car Rental in Houston?
Earlier this summer, I had an opportunity to visit Houston for a few days with one of my friends who grew up there. He had to go home for a few days to take care of some things, and because things were slow at work, I was able to take off for a few days and make the trip to Houston with my friend.
My friend had told me that you literally had to get on the highway anytime you wanted to go anywhere, and although I thought he was exaggerating, after visiting the city for a few days, I found out that what he was saying was completely true.
I really enjoyed Houston, and plan on going there again in the future. If I am not going with someone who lives there and has a car, I will definitely be renting a car, because I don’t know how you would get around Houston without a rental car. It’s such a big city, with so many highways, and renting a car seems like a much more practical (and even economical) choice than trying to take taxis everywhere or ride the public transportation buses.
