Although the Midwest has a reputation for not being a very exciting place, one city that breaks this stereotype is Houston. If you have ever visited Houston before on a vacation or a business trip, then you know that it is a very vibrant city that can rival many of the cities found on either of the coasts. If you haven’t visited Houston before but are planning to go there on a business trip, you will find that there are a lot of great bars throughout the city, which is a great thing to know after a long day of working in a different city. To help you find a great bar without wasting any of your time, here are a couple of places that you will thoroughly enjoy visiting for a drink or two:
The Continental Club: If you enjoy listening to live music, The Continental Club is the place for you to spend some time. While you are there, make sure you try a “Squid Shot,” which is a custom shot by Squid the Bartender which tastes like an apple martini, but has even more alcohol in it.
13 Celsius: Although 13 Celsius is a great wine bar, it doesn’t have the overly pretentious stigma that is associated with so many other wine bars. In addition to their great wine, 13 Celsius also offers a variety of delicious foods for you to enjoy.
West Alabama Ice House: Simply put, this is an awesome place to go when you are in the mood to kick back with some ice cold beers at a great price.
