Even though it may not be as exotic as a tropical getaway, taking a trip to Houston can still be a very enjoyable experience. Houston is a very large city, and when you spend time there, you will quickly find out that you never have to worry about being bored. Regardless of how long you stay in Houston, I can guarantee that you won’t run out of fun things to see and experience. Whether you go to Houston on a solo trip or take your entire family with you, you will have fond memories of the time that you spend in Houston.

The reason that I am writing such a positive review of Houston is because I just recently returned from there. It was actually my first time to visit Houston, and because I live on the East Coast of the United States, I honestly didn’t know what to expect from a large city in Texas. However, within just a few hours of arriving in Houston, I could tell that I was going to have an enjoyable experience during my time there. If I get the opportunity to visit Houston again someday, I will definitely be taking another trip there.

Two months ago, my boss informed me that I was going to be taking a trip to Houston. He said there were a couple of meetings that I needed to attend on behalf of our company. Although I had been to Dallas twice before, this was going to be my first time to go to Houston.

After my boss told me I needed to go, he asked if I would mind making my own travel arrangements. Since he said I could charge whatever I needed to the company account, I said that sounded fine. He let me know that in addition to getting a flight and hotel, I should definitely get a rental car. He told me that Houston is a really large city (in fact, it’s the fourth largest in the United States), and that trying to get around without a rental car would be a nightmare.

Since my boss is a pretty smart guy, I followed all of the instructions he gave me. Once I arrived in Houston, I was quite glad that I did. Even though I was only there for three days, I had to go to several different meetings, and I doubt I would have been on-time for all of them without my rental car.

I am a huge fan of the Houston Astros! Although I don’t live in Houston (unfortunately, I don’t even live in Texas; I live all the way up in Wisconsin), I have a special sports package that allows me to watch almost every one of their games. While I don’t get to watch every game from beginning to end, at the very least I will record a game and find the highlights to watch once it’s over.

Because I love the Astros so much, I make sure that I visit Houston at least once a year to attend a couple of their games. Since baseball teams play so many games during their season, I am able to see multiple Astros games by just taking one trip to Houston. Even though I wish they did play around the clock, I can’t stay at the Astros stadium for my entire trip, so I always get a rental car to get around in when I visit Houston. Fortunately, Houston is a big city, so once I get my rental car, it’s never hard to find something interesting to do while the Astros aren’t playing.
